Carpe Cydonia was a study of typography and an exploration into book binding. The concept revolved around choosing one song and constructing 50 different album covers. The song I chose, Knights of Cydonia, discusses corruption and exploration of the impossible. The lyrics illustrate the strength of the human spirit through the dynamic change of tempo. The challenge of this piece was learning to respect the constraints and let them establish the focus of the cover.
